Succinct announces the launch of open source, high-performance Tendermint ZK light client Tendermint X
According to official news on December 20th, Succinct announced the launch of Tendermint X. Tendermint X is an open-source, high-performance Tendermint ZK light client based on EVM that is deployed on the Succinct platform. Tendermint X connects Cosmos with Ethereum through a trust-minimized ZK bridge.
Tendermint X has obtained the MIT license, allowing anyone to deploy efficient Gas efficiency (about 350k Gas per update) Tendermint light clients for any compatible Cosmos chain. The end-to-end proof generation time is 4 minutes. Using the Succinct platform, setting up smart contracts and circuits for production-ready deployment takes about 20 minutes. Tendermint X is the core technology used to support the previously announced Blobstream X collaboration with Celestia by Succinct, which uses a chain-based Celestia light client to introduce Celestia DA to Ethereum and was launched on the testnet today.
