Stand with Crypto: At least 18 U.S. senators support cryptocurrencies
According to the latest data from Stand with Crypto, a non-profit advocacy group for Coinbase, at least 18 senators in the United States support cryptocurrency. Among them, Republican senators Cynthia Lumnis and Ted Burr are currently the most supportive politicians of cryptocurrency in the US Senate. Lumnis has promoted 8 cryptocurrency bills and 184 public statements related to cryptocurrency, while Burr has 8 bills and 24 statements. Republican Ted Cruz and Bill Hagerty have proposed a total of 5 bills and 92 statements.
Of the 18 senators who hold a favorable position on cryptocurrency, 14 are Republicans and only 4 are Democrats. However, according to reports, a total of 30 senators are firmly opposed to cryptocurrency, with 23 being Democrats, 5 being Republicans, and 2 being independents.
