U.S. Republican House of Representatives: Optimistic about the prospects of new encryption legislation in 2024
US Republican Congressman French Hill expressed optimism about the prospects of the 2024 Stablecoin Regulation Act and another bill focused on market structure during an event on Monday. He also expressed willingness to listen to Democratic leaders' views on illegal finance. French Hill referred to the Payment Clarity Act and the 21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act, both of which were proposed by the House Financial Services Committee last year. He said in the group discussion, "I still believe optimistically that these bills will be realized in 2024." (The Block)
