Worldcoin announces it has implemented a personal hosting strategy that runs on users’ local devices
Worldcoin has announced the implementation of a personal custody strategy, which was announced when World ID 2.0 was launched. Personal data custody or personal custody refers to the information (images, metadata, and derived data) generated on the sphere and used to generate iris codes during World ID verification that is saved on the user's device. This approach allows users to control the flow of this data. In addition to providing control, personal custody also unlocks new World ID use cases by enabling facial verification for high-security applications. This can be run on the user's local device, and user data will not leave the phone.
