KPMG: Bitcoin Still Dominates 91% of Investors’ Portfolios
According to a recent study by KPMG, after a tumultuous year in the cryptocurrency market, investor sentiment appears to be rebounding. Bitcoin still dominates investors' portfolios (91%), followed by Ethereum (78%), reflecting a strong asset preference.
The study surveyed around 2,400 private cryptocurrency investors in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and found that cryptocurrency investments have increased, with 54% of respondents allocating more than 20% of their total investments to digital assets. Investors who put more than 50% of their assets into cryptocurrency are committed to long-term investment in the industry, typically for 3 to 5 years.
However, the study also highlighted a shift in investor behavior characterized by greater caution and scrutiny. In particular, market entrants are conducting more thorough evaluations of investment opportunities and demanding greater efforts from providers to convert interest into actual customers. This trend is evident in the significant gap between cryptocurrency exchange registrations and active use.
