Crypto mining company Core Scientific announced plans to expand its Bitcoin mining park in Texas by another 72MW
Core Scientific, a cryptocurrency mining company, announced plans to expand its Bitcoin mining facility in Denton, Texas by an additional 72MW. The company stated that this new phase of the Denton data center marks the beginning of a comprehensive, multi-year effort to complete its partially constructed infrastructure and increase its capacity to 372MW.
The current Bitcoin mining power of the Denton data center is 125MW, with a total contracted power of approximately 300MW. In addition, its data center in Pecos, Texas operates Bitcoin mining operations at two locations with a total power of 71MW and a total contracted power capacity of 250MW.
