Ore creator proposes Solana Foundation to provide testnet participation incentives
Hardhat Chad, the anonymous creator of the Solana on-chain mining project Ore, suggested that if the Solana Foundation intends to incentivize testnet activities, it could provide rewards. Chad posted on X platform that if Solana wants to encourage users to participate in testnet activities, such as testing new features or protocols, then the Solana Foundation should provide incentives in the form of SOL. This can motivate users to actively participate in testing, improve platform performance, and identify potential issues before deployment to the mainnet. The community's response to this is mixed. Chad clarified that he is not seeking funding from the foundation. His goal for Ore is to establish a currency, not to develop testnet tools.
