UK Parliament Calls for Investment in Digital Skills to Meet Demand from Crypto, Blockchain and AI Sectors
During a parliamentary debate on Tuesday, UK lawmakers unanimously called for increased investment in digital skills to meet the demand for employment in the crypto, blockchain, and AI sectors. MP Lisa Cameron, who chaired the debate, urged the government to ensure digital skills are taught from an early age and in the workplace. Despite the UK government's efforts to make the country a crypto hub, employers in the digital sector are struggling to find skilled workers. The digital skills gap is estimated to cost the UK economy £63 billion ($79 billion) annually.
