Ducat Protocol: Launched UNIT, a Bitcoin native stablecoin based on Runes
Ducat Protocol announced on social media that they are launching a bitcoin-native stablecoin called UNIT based on Runes.It is reported that Ducat uses Ordinals Inscriptions as a smart contract, Runes tokens, and Taproot upgrades to transform BTC addresses into stablecoin vaults. UNIT will be issued in Runes form, collateralized by 150% BTC, and will be fully programmatically managed to anchor its value.In addition, Bitcoin Frontier Fund announced that it has completed an investment in the protocol.
