Ki Young Ju: South Korea leads the world in crypto trading volume, but is one of the countries with the worst Web3 entrepreneurial environment
Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, quoted Bloomberg news on social media saying that South Korea has the highest cryptocurrency trading volume in the world, but is one of the worst countries for Web3 entrepreneurship. It's like more stocks from other countries are listed on the Korea Stock Exchange, while trading volume for Korean ants is ahead of the US stock market. The biggest problem is the lack of understanding and conservative attitude of regulatory agencies that stifles innovation.
Bloomberg previously reported that Upbit, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, accounts for more than 80% of South Korea's trading volume and is one of the top five exchanges in the world.
