Opinion: Hong Kong cryptocurrency ETF opens the door for Chinese investors
According to Jinse Finance, Li Yimei, CEO of Huaxia Fund, said in an interview with Bloomberg that the cryptocurrency ETF launched on Tuesday has opened the door for many RMB holders who are seeking alternative investments. She added that she hopes mainland Chinese investors will have "new opportunities" to participate in this process in the future.
Han Tongli, CEO of Harvest Global, said in an interview that regulatory agencies will closely monitor the development of Hong Kong's cryptocurrency ETF. When asked if these products can be included in the plan that allows Chinese investors to invest in Hong Kong ETFs, he said they hope to control risks. As long as they can accept the risks, I think the market will gradually open up.
