Shanxi Changzhi police arrested a suspect who pretended to be someone else to receive STRK tokens
The first STRK virtual currency fraud case in Changzhi, Shanxi was successfully solved. Recently, the Xiangyuan County Public Security Bureau's Network Security Brigade received a report from a victim claiming that 40,000 STRK coins obtained through the STRK official development program were fraudulently taken by others. With the support of the Changzhi City Public Security Bureau's Network Security Support Team, Xiangyuan Network Police finally identified the suspect who stole the coins as a person named Lan from Meizhou, Guangdong.
On April 25th, the special case police successfully arrested the suspect Lan. After investigation, it was found that Lan purchased numerous Tg accounts and Discord accounts, generated a large number of STRK payment addresses, and searched for relevant proof of work submitted by others. Lan then impersonated others and submitted more than 40 ECMP forms, fraudulently taking the victim's 40,000 STRK coins and transferring them to his own wallet, which he then exchanged for 91,000 USDT coins (equivalent to more than 637,000 RMB) for personal gain.
Currently, the suspect Lan has been taken into custody in accordance with the law, and the case is under further investigation.
