Bitcoin Lightning Network Provider Mash Announces Shutdown of Current Version
Mash, a provider of Bitcoin Lightning Network infrastructure, recently announced its decision to shut down its current version. It has been almost two years since Mash successfully completed a $6 million seed round of financing in June 2022 to establish a usage-based revenue model for content creators. All products and services will cease operation at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on May 17, 2024. Users are advised to remove any funds on Mash products, as these products will no longer be accessible from the same day.
Users can transfer funds to Lightning-supporting wallets, including Cash App, Mutiny Wallet, Kraken Zeus, Breeze, ZBD, Phoenix, and others. The team expressed gratitude for the support it has received over the years and hinted at a return to the market after reshaping the platform.
