TikTok will use new content certification technology to automatically label AI-generated content
TikTok has announced that when AI-generated content (AIGC) is uploaded to the platform, it will automatically be tagged. Currently, TikTok is working with the Content Authenticity Initiative (C2PA) to become the first media sharing platform to adopt its content credential technology. TikTok states that this will be achieved through the use of content certificates, which will attach metadata to the content, allowing the platform to instantly identify and label AIGC. TikTok also plans to launch media literacy resources developed in collaboration with MediaWise and WITNESS.
