Hedge fund Schonfeld Strategy Advisors holds $479 million in Bitcoin ETF
Media reports that hedge fund Schonfeld Strategy Advisors disclosed in its Q1 13F filing an investment of $248 million in IBIT and $231.8 million in FBTC, totaling $479 million. As previously reported by Golden Finance, Millennium Management has invested a total of $1.9 billion in spot Bitcoin ETFs, including BlackRock's IBIT at $844.2 million, Fidelity's FBTC at $806.7 million, Grayscale's GBTC at $202 million, Ark's ARKB at $45 million and Bitwise's BITB at $44.7 million. According to Fintel data, these two funds hold the largest investments in IBIT and FBTC with Millenium ranking first and Schonfeld second in each category respectively. Millenium is also among the top ten holders of other Bitcoin ETF spot investments. In addition to the massive scale of each company’s investment, this disclosure also represents a major hedge fund manager entering into Bitcoin ETFs market . By the end of 2023 , Millennium had assets under management (AUM) worth 69 billion dollars while Schonfeld managed assets worth 13 billion dollars.
