Ethereum Foundation Researcher Justin Drake Appointed as Advisor to Eigen Foundation
PANews reported on May 20 that Justin Drake, a core researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, disclosed on the X platform that he has recently become an advisor to the Eigen Foundation. However, Justin Drake made it clear that despite the substantial EIGEN token rewards he will receive as an advisor, he will not hesitate to terminate the advisory position if EigenLayer's development direction conflicts with Ethereum's interests. He also promised to reinvest all income from the advisory position into valuable projects within the Ethereum ecosystem, whether through investment or donation.
Additionally, Justin Drake mentioned that he is very selective about advisory positions, and the entire negotiation process took over a year of discussions. His conditions for serving as an advisor include limiting his responsibilities to researching re-staking risks, providing advice in a personal capacity, and not having his name appear in marketing materials.
