Lido discloses security incident of Ethereum node operator Numic, user funds are not affected
Lido announced the disclosure of a security incident involving Ethereum node operator Numic on May 14. The node operator Numic encountered a security vulnerability that affected developer machines accessing encrypted backup keys for the mainnet validator. It is currently unclear whether the encryption keys have been accessed or copied. To ensure security, the node operator:Set the deposit keys related to the Lido protocol to zero;Phased out all potentially affected keys proactively. As of now, all validators have exited and fully extracted funds, and user funds have not been affected. Lido DAO contributors are assisting in the investigation, and the node operator is reviewing its security and backup processes. The DAO may discuss whether to continue to remain on the active node list.
