Biden's presidential campaign is hiring a meme expert
The re-election campaign team of US President Joe Biden is looking for a meme expert, apparently to win the support of Generation Z voters.
The Biden for President (BFP) campaign has posted a "Partnerships Manager" position, with the successful candidate responsible for launching and managing the "daily operations of engaging with internet trends and meme pages."
According to Indeed, the Biden camp will pay its meme manager based in Wilmington, Delaware, between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, slightly higher than the average salary for US digital marketers.
According to the job description, the main task of the Biden meme manager is to manage relationships with digital media companies, podcasts, and "meme pages on multiple social media platforms." Biden's team has previously dabbled in memes, with his campaign team using the "Dark Brandon" laser eyes meme in early 2022 in an attempt to portray the 81-year-old as internet-savvy.
