Former FTX founder Bankman-Fried transferred to California prison pending appeal
Bankman-Fried is likely to be transferred to a medium-security prison in California, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. However, the specific location of the prison has not been disclosed, and the transfer process is expected to be slow, possibly taking more than a month. Part of the reason for this delay is that the judge who presided over Bankman-Fried's trial suggested that he continue to be held in New York to facilitate contact with his appellate lawyers. Despite this suggestion, the decision was made to transfer him.
