NORMIE attacker: The Normie contract code is a “copy and paste” job and was likely not reviewed by developers before going live
Memecoin NORMIE attackers claimed that Normie's contract code was a "copy and paste" job and may not have undergone thorough review by developers before going live. On Sunday, NORMIE plummeted 99% due to attackers manipulating the token's total supply, completely depleting the token pool's liquidity. Blockchain detectives said that the attackers used the so-called tax function in the token contract to issue more tokens than the originally planned 1 billion supply. The excess tokens were then used to trade Ethereum.
