Wintermute founder: SOL ETF will be hard to get approved this year
Wintermute's founder and CEO Evgeny Gaevoy stated on the X platform that the likelihood of the approval of a SOL ETF this year is almost zero (wishful thinking that it would become a priority for the Trump administration is quite foolish). Wintermute is a long-term supporter of SOL and ETH, but shouldn't overhype the situation and should be realistic - adoption of cryptocurrency takes time. Once you see the fund inflows for ETH ETF, you'll understand that even if a SOL ETF is approved, the inflows will be even less.
Previously, it was reported that asset management firm VanEck submitted the first Solana ETF application in the US.
