Interpol seizes $2 million worth of cryptocurrency in Operation First Light
The "Operation First Light" by the International Criminal Police Organization is a global action involving 61 countries. It has disrupted online fraud networks by freezing 6,745 bank accounts and seizing assets worth $257 million (including $2 million in cryptocurrency). The operation targeted phishing, investment fraud, fake online shopping websites, romance and impersonation scams, and resulted in the arrest of 3,950 suspects worldwide, with 14,643 potential suspects identified.
