Galaxy Digital CEO: It is not ruled out that the SEC may allow the issuance of Solana ETF in the United States in the medium term
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz stated that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may allow the issuance of a cryptocurrency ETF invested in Solana (SOL) in the mid-term. Novogratz stated that institutional investors would be willing to use this tool to enter the altcoin market, which is considered one of Ethereum's main competitors.
In addition, GSR expects SOL rates to increase several times after the ETF is issued. Donald Trump, who recently publicly supported the development of the US cryptocurrency market, may launch a spot Solana-ETF after taking office in the White House.
Analysts recall that in October, the trading price of Bitcoin was $23,000, when the industry first allowed the issuance of spot funds invested in the largest cryptocurrency. Since then, the value of BTC has increased by 130%. GSR analysts believe that Solana can follow a similar path.
