Check out 6 low-intensity activities worth doing | E02
In the last issue of "Casual Play", the editor mentioned the selection principle of "Casual Play" projects:
The editor himself is an ordinary player who has no experience and no time to log in in batches to catch a project. Although we don't have the ability and energy of a studio, we might as well spend some time to do some projects that can be casually played when the market is boring, to see if we can have a small blessing.
Adhering to this principle, the editor will continue to bring you the second issue of "Casual Play" inventory:)
Sonic
Sonic is a modular SVM chain made by Mirror World. In plain words, it is a Solana game Layer 2. Although Solana is known for its high TPS, with the increasing number of transactions, it may not be able to hold up in the long run if the main network is used as a basket to put all the interactions of applications into it.
From the perspective of rubbing hair, the editor has two main reasons for including Sonic. First, Solana Layer 2 is a very new concept. Secondly, Sonic focuses on games, and has a concurrent expansion framework "HyperGrid" that supports the seamless deployment of dApps from the EVM chain to Solana. It has game projects to cooperate with, and plans to support other game-related narrative infrastructure. The overall logic is relatively complete. Finally, Mirror World, as a project that received financing two years ago, is still working hard today (this is really important. The Web3 game projects/companies that can survive either have money or have sufficient ability to adapt to the market, such as TreasureDAO, etc.). Sonic itself also announced last month that it had completed a $12 million Series A financing led by Bitkraft Ventures, with Galaxy Interactive, Big Brain Holdings and other companies participating.
Currently, Sonic's Odyssey event is underway, and participating in the event can get "rings" linked to future rewards. The following are the detailed steps:
First of all, please note that Phantom Wallet does not support Sonic very well at present. If you want to participate in the Sonic Odyssey event, it is best to choose between Nightly and Backpack wallets (Nightly is the most suitable wallet in my opinion). If you choose to participate in the event with Backpack wallet, you can set it up step by step according to the screenshots of official tutorial . I will use Nightly as an example here.
Connect your wallet in the upper right corner of the Sonic Odyssey Event page, select Nightly, and you will be automatically redirected to the official website of the Nightly wallet. Then click on the corresponding download page according to the browser you are using.
After installation and initial setup, click the Solana Logo icon in the upper right corner of the wallet.
Select "Sonic" in the pop-up menu.
After clicking and returning to the main interface, click the button with three bars in the upper left corner of the main interface.
At the bottom of the pop-up menu, there is a "Settings", click it.
Then click "Choose RPC".
At this point, the initial settings are complete. Next, go to Sonic's faucet to get airdrop. It's very simple. Copy the address and paste it in, then click "Confirm Airdrop". If it fails, it may be a network problem. Switch nodes and try again. If it still doesn't work, it may be a problem on Sonic's side. You can go to the Discord chat channel to see if anyone has reported the same problem.
After receiving the water, you can do the task. First, select "Meet Sonic" in the task bar on the left, connect the Twitter and Discord accounts, and do this task once.
Then there are tasks that need to be done online every day, namely "Check-in" and "TX Milestone". First, "Check-in", this is the daily check-in. Click the "Check-in" button in the picture below and submit the transaction confirmation to complete the check-in. The longer the time, the more "mysterious treasure chests" you can receive every day.
Click the "ring" icon in the upper right corner of the "mysterious treasure chest" you received to see the option to open it.
Next is "TX Milestone". This task requires completing 100 transactions every day to complete. After completing it, you can get 12 "mysterious treasure chests". There are 2 methods.
The first method is to play games in "Game Adventure". You can choose the "FoMoney" framed by the red box in the picture below. It is a 2048 mini-game on the entire chain. Each time you perform an action, you must confirm a transaction. Just walk about 100 steps and go back to confirm that "TX Milestone" is completed.
You can also play the free "Ring" lottery in "Ring Lottery". There is a winner in each block. If you win, you can get 1 "Ring". If you are lucky, you can even get 10,000 "Rings". In the red box in the figure below, first set the number of times in the red circle to 5, so that 5 transactions can be skipped in a row, and 20 batches will be enough.
Finally, you can copy your invitation link in "Referral" to recruit people to get extra rewards.
ChronosWorld
Produced by SphereStudios, the blockchain game project ChronosWorlds is jointly incubated by Web3 game incubator Seedify( @SeedifyFund ) and Web3 game platform Elixir Games( @Elixir_Games ). This will be a mobile game where players can obtain loot through real-time combat and exploration, upgrade their characters and build their own homes.
The game's Token $SPHR is also scheduled to be issued in the third quarter of this year. Currently, there is a Farming activity running on its official website ( Portal ).
This Farming activity mainly includes daily sign-in and Twitter and Instagram social media tasks. It is very important to note that before starting the task for the first time, you should first claim the coefficient bonus that can be claimed, otherwise the coefficient bonus claimed later will not be added to the previously obtained score. The area framed by the red frame in the figure below is the coefficient bonus claiming area, which is related to the number of Twitter fans. As long as the number of fans is higher than 5,000, you can claim coefficient bonuses of different levels.
In the above figure, you can see that there is also a coefficient bonus for holding NFTs, which is also not retroactively superimposed. I will not go into details about assets that require money.
Since I have completed all the social media tasks that I can do, the taskbar on the left is empty, but it is full of things like following Twitter/Instagram, liking, and forwarding. Daily check-in is here:
OdinSwap
OdinSwap was mentioned in the last issue when Ordzaar was mentioned. It is a rune infrastructure product from Ordzaar, a rune AMM, which is now open for testing, and the official has made it clear in Discord that participating in the test will receive rewards.
The OdinSwap test is relatively simple. When you connect, you will be automatically prompted to switch the Bitcoin network to the test network, and then use the Bitcoin on the test network to swap the runes in the current test site. ( Portal )
How to receive the test network Bitcoin? There are several ways:
- https://bitcoinfaucet.uo1.net/, the amount that can be received in a single transaction is very small. The editor can receive up to 0.00003998 test Bitcoin in a single transaction.
- https://cryptopump.info/send.php, 0.00001 test bitcoin per transaction.
- https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet/, one IP can only receive once every 12 hours, the editor received 0.000184 test bitcoins in a single transaction.
- https://altquick.com/swap, if the above faucets are not enough, you can buy test bitcoins here, the price I saw when I wrote the article was 1 test bitcoin = 0.0000089 bitcoins.
For the website to buy test bitcoins, click the round currency icon at Receive after entering, and then select Bitcoin Testnet.
Nubit
Nubit is a Bitcoin native DA layer. DA is not easy to understand. To put it bluntly, Bitcoin Layer 2 (especially projects using Roll-up technology as a solution) will need DA, so it can be understood as an important part of the Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystem.
Nubit announced last month that it had successfully raised $8 million in a seed round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Nomad Capital, Spartan Group, L2IV, Big Brain Holdings, GCR, Protagonist, Gate Ventures, Animoca and Mask Network, bringing the total raised to $12 million.
Currently, Nubit's Alpha testnet incentive activity has begun, let's see how to get it.
First, you need to install a Keplr wallet, and then after connecting to the activity page, you will be reminded to add the Nubit testnet. Then there are 3 social media tasks, follow the official push, join Discord and Telegram. This is simple and can get 3000 points, so I won't go into details.
Then run a light node for 15 minutes, and then submit the Pubkey given by the node for verification to get 3000 points. If you are using a Mac or Linux system, you can just run the command (see official documentation ). If you are using a Windows system, the steps will be more complicated.
First, open Windows PowerShell in Windows and run the following command:
wsl --install --no-distribution
After the execution is complete, you will be prompted to restart the computer. After restarting, run the following command to install Ubuntu:
wsl --install ubuntu
After the installation is complete, you will be prompted to set a username and password for Ubuntu. Then just run the following command to install the Nubit light node (do not close Windows PowerShell during the installation process):
curl -sL1 https://nubit.sh | bash
After the light node is installed, the following output will appear:
The "Pubkey" part in the red box is what we want to submit to the event page. There is also a mnemonic above the Pubkey, remember to save it at the same time. After saving, keep the node running for 15 minutes and submit the Pubkey to the activity page for verification: You can see a green success prompt in the red box. If not, check whether the Nubit light node is running normally by entering the following command in Ubuntu: lsof -i :2121 | grep LISTEN If the light node is running normally, a prompt similar to the following should appear: If there is no similar prompt, run this command to start the Nubit light node: nohup bash <(curl -s https://nubit.sh) > $HOME/nubit-light.log 2>1
Ora
Ora is an on-chain AI project, including on-chain AI language training model, AI oracle and on-chain text-image AI conversion. Apart from Token staking, the only way to get points is to recruit people. Another way to get points is to use their AI products. The editor tried the on-chain AI language training model and text-image AI conversion. The former was used on the mainnet, costing about $17 and getting +6 points. The latter was used on Arbitrum, costing about $1 and getting +3 points.
Friends who are interested can directly go to the event page through the portal to check it out.
Stride
Although Move 2 Earn already feels like a yesterday’s story, if you go out for a walk every day, it’s okay...
Stride is on the Solana network. At this stage, the more convenient thing about this project is that its mechanism is similar to WeChat steps. You just need to walk, and then it reads the number of steps per day and you can claim the reward in the App.
According to the reply of the Mod in Discord, it seems that its points can only be used for the whitelist, and it has nothing to do with Tokens.
