Tether partners with Vietnam Blockchain Association to promote local blockchain and AI education
According to official sources, stablecoin issuer Tether has announced a strategic partnership with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) to promote blockchain and digital asset education. The collaboration aims to promote blockchain technology to stakeholders through a series of conferences and seminars, encouraging knowledge sharing and capacity building within the industry.The VBA, based in Ho Chi Minh City, is a hub for blockchain technology standardization and promotion in Vietnam. The association plays an important role in promoting blockchain technology in Vietnam and advocates for blockchain education through educational events across the country. In 2023, Vietnam became the third largest cryptocurrency appreciation country in the world after the United States and the United Kingdom, with an appreciation value of nearly $1.18 billion, making it one of the top five Asian markets among the top ten countries with cryptocurrency appreciation. According to reports, Vietnamese citizens use cryptocurrencies to access banking services that were previously inaccessible. About 17% of the population owns or holds cryptocurrencies, making Vietnam a hub for cryptocurrency activity.
