Coinbase, Ripple, and a16z to Attend Republican and Democratic National Conventions
Coinbase, Ripple, and a16z plan to send representatives to attend the Republican National Convention (RNC) and later the Democratic National Convention (DNC). Politico reports that these companies will first "make their positions clear to Republican power brokers" and support election results that are favorable to the industry's policies, highlighting the Republican Party's broad support for the cryptocurrency industry. Participating in the RNC and DNC represents each company's continued commitment to the two parties' cryptocurrency policies. All three companies are members of the Fairshake Super PAC, which raised $177.9 million and spent $70.9 million during the 2024 election cycle. The Super PAC aims to benefit US candidates who support cryptocurrency, regardless of their party affiliation.
