Facet is upgrading to v2 and plans to migrate all v1 contracts and reprocess their transactions
Facet, a decentralized computing platform on the Ethereum blockchain, announced in a post that it is undergoing a v2 upgrade. The team has decided to migrate all "states" from Facet v1 to v2, not just snapshotting v1 and building a "genesis block", but adopting a more rigorous (atomic) method at the transaction level: converting all v1 contracts to v2 and reprocessing all transactions that have occurred on Facet since the first block of v1 (over 500,000 transactions spanning approximately 1.5 million blocks). This ensures the robustness and atomicity of transactions and provides a safer migration while maintaining the integrity of Facet. Currently, the team is actively testing this migration process by replaying all Facet transactions through new Facet v2 nodes. Facet is committed to providing v2 as an unlicensed solution to Ethereum's scalability challenge. In addition, the white paper will be released soon.
