Surabaya prepares to host Free Fire World Series grand finals

The selection of Surabaya as the location for the FFWS Southeast Asia grand finals reflects Indonesia’s growing prominence in the esports scene. The city will hold the Fall 2024 season finals, where top teams from across Southeast Asia will battle it out for the championship title. To ensure that all participants have access to cutting-edge technology throughout their stay at FFWS SEA, they’ll have high-performance Galaxy S24 Ultra devices at their disposal. Such a partnership falls in line with regular updates aimed at establishing an annual circuit within the Free Fire eSports ecosystem by Garena.

Samsung expands its footprint in Esports

In 2022, Samsung became a presenting sponsor for the Snapdragon Pro Series while more recently in May 2024 it partnered with North American esports organization NRG to launch the PUBG Mobile division. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to being a key player within the eSports industry particularly targeting the mobile gaming space.

Jung Suh, Head of Digital Commerce – Mobile Experience Business at Samsung, said,

“We are excited to announce our collaboration with Garena for the next two seasons of the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia. “We trust that this partnership will offer an epic gaming experience and fulfill the Galaxy brand’s pledge of ‘Life opens up with Galaxy’.”

Records indicate that FFWS SEA fall 2024 could be one of the toughest competitions so far as many sides across regions are preparing themselves for fierce battles targeting top spot positions.
