Tether, the issuer of the largest stablecoin, announced via its official website through a press release that it will soon launch USDT on the Aptos Blockchain

Aptos as a Proof of Stake network, has processed more than 1 billion transactions. This collaboration is said to make digital currency more accessible globally. 

The main key points that were addressed in the announcement were about the extremely low gas fees which are significantly expected to reduce the cost of transactions. And making USDT more accessible and attractive to users from diverse economic backgrounds.

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether stated:

“The team at Tether is excited to integrate and collaborate with the Aptos ecosystem, enhancing our commitment to making digital currencies more accessible and functional.” 

The total market cap of USDT is $116.92B. According to Token Terminal, Tether’s USDT supply is growing the fastest on Celo and Avalanche. And the supply of Tether’s USDT on the Tron network is currently at $60.81B. 

Tether Partners with UQUID For USDT Payments

To integrate USDT payments into the Phillippines Social Security System, Tether announced a partnership with UQUID , an e-commerce platform. This is to enable USDT payments across its marketplace. This collaboration allows users to make purchases using its stablecoin. 

The integration of USDT into UQUID’s ecosystem reflects the growing adoption of stablecoins in everyday transactions. This partnership aims to enhance the efficiency of digital payments, particularly in regions where traditional banking services may be less accessible.
