Tanssi integrates Symbiotic to launch AVS, aiming to enable developers to implement highly customized protocols
Tanssi has partnered with Symbiotic to expand the Tanssi blockchain infrastructure to Ethereum, launching the fast-starting decentralized network AVS.
Tanssi Blockchain Infrastructure Protocol has announced the expansion of the Tanssi Blockchain Infrastructure Protocol to Ethereum, enabling the launch of decentralized networks, also known as Actively Validated Services (AVS), in just minutes. This expansion is made possible by a strategic partnership with leading restaking protocol Symbiotic, allowing developers to leverage Ethereum's strong security to deploy highly customized and decentralized networks.
While Rollup technology is key to scaling Ethereum, it may fall short when more decentralization, customization, or interoperability is needed. AVS makes up for these shortcomings by providing a more flexible and diverse approach. Developers can directly delegate to Ethereum’s shared security, which is backed by over $45 billion worth of ETH, through re-collateralized security. However, networks using re-collateralized security are still an emerging and complex technology, often taking months to launch as they require significant infrastructure, ongoing management, and resource investment.
Tanssi greatly simplifies this process, reducing the time to market from months to minutes and streamlining management, allowing developers to easily deploy and maintain decentralized networks in a customizable environment. This approach not only simplifies the development process, but also accelerates time to market and allows users to get on board faster.
By leveraging Symbiotic’s re-collateralization protocol, Tanssi enables networks on Ethereum to easily access the shared security of billions of dollars in staked ETH. This approach enhances decentralization by providing a permissionless, shared network of operators for block production, ensuring fast transaction finality, and avoiding the reliance on a single ordering node.
“With Tanssi, developers in the Symbiotic ecosystem will be able to use a simple interface to one of the most sophisticated and battle-tested blockchain development toolkits. By integrating with Symbiotic’s shared security protocol, projects using Tanssi can tap into Ethereum’s liquidity and launch appchains with re-staking capabilities in minutes,” said Felix Lutsch, head of the Symbiotic ecosystem.
This collaboration also opens up new possibilities for developers by integrating Substrate’s flexible SDK. With Tanssi’s framework, developers can quickly leverage pre-built templates and modules to implement AVS, achieving full decentralization without relying on a single sorting node.
The Tanssi-based AVS is a blockchain system that leverages Ethereum’s shared security, allowing developers to create highly customized protocols. This includes application-specific blockchains, alternative virtual machines, cross-chain bridges, data availability layers, and more, providing developers with tools to address use cases that traditional Rollup architectures may not be able to effectively address.
Francisco Agosti, co-founder of Tanssi, said, "Decentralized networks, namely Active Verification Services (AVS), provide new possibilities for applications that do not fit the Rollup model. Tanssi enables developers to launch Ethereum-based networks in minutes by providing a fully customizable decentralized environment. This change will drive the growth of the Ethereum re-staking security market, making decentralization and its accessibility easier than ever before."
With the support of investment institutions such as Arrington Capital, SNZ, HashKey, Borderless and Fenbushi, Tanssi has raised $9 million in funds to promote its development. With more than 2,000 application-specific blockchains deployed on the Tanssi testnet and its mainnet expected to be launched in early 2025, Tanssi is preparing to establish new standards in the Ethereum ecosystem.
