Saudi Arabia will develop an athlete digital ID platform
The Blockchain Sports Ecosystem and Alpha Jossor Investments have signed a memorandum of understanding worth $3.3 billion to develop an innovative sports complex in Saudi Arabia, including a football school and real estate infrastructure, as well as an athlete's digital ID platform that uses blockchain technology for secure transparent transactions. According to a press release, "A key part of the memorandum is the creation of a digital ID platform for athletes' identities, enabling secure transparent transactions within the sports industry. Collaborative colleges from 16 countries worldwide will connect with this platform to collect and analyze data and identify top football players who will have opportunities to study at high-quality academies in Saudi Arabia. This platform will be the first solution storing athlete data and initiating global scouting processes on a worldwide scale. The integrated solutions using blockchain technology will optimize processes and enhance data storage security."
