GoPlus: Fragment eponymous applet scam has emerged, users must be cautious about authorization
Web3 cybersecurity firm GoPlus has issued a security alert revealing a new scam targeting Telegram users. Scammers are posing as official Fragment applets and sending anonymous account holders high-priced offers via private messages. Once users click on the link to the applet provided by the scammers, they may unknowingly authorize their accounts, leading to the theft of wallet assets.
GoPlus pointed out that it is difficult for users to distinguish the fake bots from the official applets as they are almost identical in name and avatar. Security experts suggest that users should cross-verify through the official website, official Twitter or trusted third-party platforms to ensure secure transactions.
