Cardano (ADA) Founder Criticizes Ethereum (ETH) Severely!
Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson described Ethereum as a dictatorship run by Vitalik Buterin.
Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson has reignited the debate between Cardano and ETH by making bold statements about Ethereum.
Ethereum is Dictatorship!
Speaking at the Token2049 event in Singapore, the Cardano founder criticized Ethereum’s current governance model, saying it was overly reliant on the guidance of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Hoskinson, who made harsh criticisms of ETH, described Ethereum as a dictatorship run by Vitalik Buterin.
Hoskinson argued that without Vitalik, the future of Ethereum would be uncertain.
“The Ethereum network is a dictatorship run by Vitalik Buterin, whose entire vision began and ended with 30-year-old Buterin.
Everyone looks to him for a roadmap. Everyone looks to him for inspiration, and he's also the only one with enough power to bring people together.
If you take Buterin out of the equation right now on Ethereum, what will the next hard fork look like and how quickly will they be able to get there?”
The Cardano founder had previously criticized Ethereum, claiming that ETH had taken the ADA roadmap.
Cardano (ADA) Is Very Different From Ethereum!
Charles Hoskinson said that the change of governance at Cardano during the Voltaire era prevented ADA from turning into a “dictatorship” like Ethereum and avoided the “anarchy” of Bitcoin.
Hoskinson said Cardano’s new governance model has the “governance trilemma of efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity” by putting complex governance issues to a vote using delegated representatives and a member-based organization called Intersect.
“If you have those three things, then you have a pretty good chance of avoiding the anarchy of Bitcoin or the dictatorship of Ethereum and actually having something that can move forward with one voice, but is still decentralized because it ultimately represents everyone.”
Charles Hoskinson, one of the eight original co-founders of Ethereum, was also CEO of the Ethereum Foundation, but his for-profit vision for the protocol did not align with Buterin's and he left in 2014.
At this point, FHoskinson stated that he has been working to shape Cardano since then, “In the new governance model of the Cardano network, it does not matter whether Charles is alive or dead. It is designed to be new every day.”
