As hacking incidents continue in the cryptocurrency industry, the latest victim was American rapper Cardi B.
At this point, American rapper Cardi B's X account shared a video of a memecoin called WAP. Blockchain security company PeckShield warned investors to be careful.
“It appears that Cardi B's X account has been compromised.
Be careful when interacting with any addresses/links in the post.”
The WAP token, named after Cardi B's song of the same name, was launched on Monday along with an official website and its own X account.
Even after Cardi B's initial post on WAP, it remains on Cardi B's official account.
Cardi B's label, Atlantic Records, has yet to respond to The Block's request for clarification on whether the rapper has officially promoted WAP.
