Freedom Factory Launches the dGEN1 Mobile Device
Freedom Factory has introduced the dGEN1, a new mobile device aimed at making on-chain crypto transactions easier for everyone.
According to the press release , users can use this device to access decentralized applications (dapps) without needing third-party services or paying hidden fees.
The dGEN1 runs on ethOS v4.0 and features a dapp store that supports both Ethereum and Layer 2 (L2) applications. This means transactions can be faster and cheaper, and users won’t need separate wallets or browser add-ons. With an onboard light node, users can also validate transactions right on the device, enhancing security.
Along with transaction features, the dGEN1 has a built-in messaging system for secure communication within the on-chain community.
In contracts, the device aims to give crypto users better control over their digital assets by combining the safety of a hardware wallet with the ease of a mobile device.
This device is set to ship in Spring 2025 and is designed to be an everyday carry (EDC) tool. Pre-orders /are now open on the Freedom Factory website, priced at 0.2 ETH or 61,296 DEGEN. Global shipping is expected to start in Spring 2025.
