Tapioca Foundation to offer $1 million bounty to attackers
On October 21st, Tapioca Foundation proposed a settlement agreement to the attacker through an on-chain message, agreeing to provide a reward of 1 million USDT without any additional conditions. They added that this amount is significantly higher than the usual reward ratio (which is 10% of the stolen funds), in exchange for the attacker returning the remaining 3.7 million US dollars, and urged the attacker to contact the official through email before 4 pm (UTC time) on October 22nd, 2024.
Previously, on October 18th, TapiocaDAO was attacked, resulting in the theft of 4.7 million US dollars worth of cryptocurrency. Tapioca Foundation described the incident as a "social engineering attack".
