Harris, Trump discuss Israeli airstrikes on Iran during campaign
during this weekend's election campaign, US Vice President Harris and former President Trump briefly discussed Israel's airstrikes on Iranian military bases. Trump said at a rally in Michigan, "Israel is launching strikes - we are waging a war, and she (Harris) is out partying." At the time, Harris was holding a campaign event with Beyoncé in Texas. Meanwhile, Harris called for "easing tensions rather than escalating the situation in the region" on Saturday. She told reporters, "I and the entire United States strongly feel that Iran must stop its threat to the region, and we will always protect Israel from any attacks launched by Iran in this way."
