The counterattack of ETH AI Meme: TEE breaks through 40 million in 6 hours, what's the story?
Some say that TEE's pullback is a deliberate counterattack by ETH against Solana; others say it is yet another operation by the conspiracy group on the ETH chain.

After being suppressed by Solana for several weeks, the ETH mainnet's meme market finally saw some emerging targets today.
Around 8 AM on October 30, the AI meme token $TEE launched on the ETH mainnet, again starting with an unannounced zero-frame approach combined with a smart money alert frenzy. Within 6 hours of opening, its market cap approached $50 million, even more outrageous than yesterday's $LUSE.
Deep Tide has compiled some information about the token to clarify the technical concepts that $TEE focuses on and how it differs from other AI coins, as well as the reasons behind $TEE's explosive rise.
Fully Autonomous AI Agent?
At around 6 AM on October 30, a Twitter account named error error ttyl ( @teeheehe ) posted the first tweet, sharing "his" wallet address. From the website linked in his profile, it was revealed that this is an AI agent named TEEHEE. From the frontend implementation perspective, namely its Twitter account, TEEHEE does not differ much from other AI meme accounts like Truth Terminal, as they all post some nonsensical tweets.
However, in TEEHEE's official documentation , it emphasizes that TEEHEE is different from earlier AI meme agents, claiming to be a "fully autonomous AI agent," and elaborates on how TEE technology ensures that the AI is completely autonomous and not subject to human intervention.
By completely distancing the private keys and Twitter account from the developers, TEE_HEE achieves "full autonomy" from a technical standpoint.
The editor consulted his own AI assistant to roughly outline the technical implementation part of the documentation:
TEE_HEE achieves its design goals by fully entrusting the email and Twitter account to a trusted execution environment (TEE) running the AI agent (they use Intel TDX). Due to the confidentiality and integrity guarantees provided by the hardware chip, the AI's control over its account is tamper-proof. The TEE holds the private credentials, and throughout the process, human developers have never had access to these credentials. Moreover, anyone can download the public code on GitHub, reproduce the measurement results, and compare them with the remote verification hash values; their official statements are verifiable.
The specific implementation is divided into two parts:
- Private Key Control:
The exclusive control of the wallet is straightforward because Ethereum assets are controlled by private keys. They only need to generate the private key within the enclave and ensure that the private key never leaves the enclave (achieved by not releasing the private key to any external API).
- X Platform Control:
This is the more challenging part. Since Twitter is their AI's living environment, the AI should be the only entity that can access the account. To ensure this, they achieved the following:
The root credentials (i.e., password) are generated within the TEE and never leave the enclave.
Ensure that human developers cannot take over the account through the "reset password" process, meaning the account cannot be linked to a phone number, and the linked email must only be accessible to the AI.
The account is not connected to any applications (to prevent previously authorized applications from tampering with the account via OAuth tokens).
Log out all existing sessions (to prevent developers from hijacking the account from existing sessions).
The specific process is as follows:
The TEE simulates a browser (headless Chrome) and requests the developer to provide an email address and password. After obtaining the credentials, the TEE checks that the account has no recovery options set, then generates a new password within the enclave and changes the email password.
The TEE operates the browser to log into Twitter, generates a new password within the TEE, and modifies the password. Then it changes the associated email to the email from step 1, removes all associated phone numbers, connected applications, and sessions.
The TEE initiates a local endpoint, requesting read/write/DM permissions OAuth token for the AI's Twitter account, and the AI authorizes this endpoint by logging into Twitter via the browser.
At this point, the account has been completely transferred/entrusted from human developers to the AI. The AI can operate the account via the OAuth token. In the case of TEE_HEE, we simply let it tweet every 30 minutes.
Due to space limitations, only the key technical parts are introduced here. For more details on TEE_HEE, please refer to the official documentation: https://nousresearch.com/setting-your-pet-rock-free/#popup-menu-anchor
The technology is real, but the coin may not be?
As mentioned above, the first tweet from this AI agent was to release its wallet address. Whether it was to demonstrate its complete control over the private keys or for other purposes, this action itself hinted at some speculative possibilities.
The subsequent script indeed moved towards a frenzy of speculation: According to Twitter user @fearofdooms , the first address to send money to TEE_HEE's wallet address (referred to as address A) was 0x6002EBE4144D7F3b0cD10E2aC0C0F357Eb1c1C51 (referred to as address B), which purchased $TEE very early on and held most of its position without selling. Smart money on-chain discovered this opportunity and subsequently rushed in, driving up $TEE. The rest is a story of a $40 million market cap in one morning.
With waves of smart money coming in, the coin skyrocketed, but the only problem is that the official account does not acknowledge any association with this coin, and even bluntly stated in its profile that it has no relation to any tokens, while the Twitter account associated with the $TEE token on GMGM.AI has no content whatsoever.
Half-hearted, is it a long-planned scheme or an innocent hit?
The fully autonomous AI, TEEHEE's project concept seems quite ambitious from the outset. However, although TEEHEE officially claims that today's $TEE has no association with itself, the fact remains that this BOT's first action on Twitter was to release its wallet address, and the official documentation also used the previously $10 million market cap Solana AI meme $Shoggo as a meme image, indicating that the team fully understands the influence of AI memes.
Some say that the wild surge of $TEE is a deliberate counterattack by ETH against Solana; others say it is another operation by a conspiracy group on the ETH chain. Regardless, as of now, the market cap of $TEE has fallen back to $20 million, with some people making profits while many others are trapped or have incurred losses. Whether $TEE is a proof of AI autonomy or a speculative hype riding on emotions, different people will have different answers in their hearts.
