Traders expect Fed to stop after two rate cuts next year
as the vote counting results of the US presidential election were released one after another in the evening, traders reduced their bets on the Fed's interest rate cuts next year on Tuesday. Interest rate futures traders continue to bet that the Fed will cut interest rates by 25 basis points each in this week and December, but now expect the Fed to stop cutting interest rates after two 25 basis point cuts in the first half of 2025, with the federal funds rate target range lowered to 3.75%-4%.
