Epic Games is gearing up to bring back Fortnite’s original Chapter One on a permanent basis, following the success of limited-time events that revived nostalgic elements of the game. This follows last year’s limited-time return of Chapter One, which was very popular among the Fortnite community.

As reported by verified leakers ShiinaBR and HYPEX, Chapter One may return to Fortnite as a permanent addition in December. According to various sources, previous seasons of Chapter One will be changed every month, but the original map layout and items will still be used.

Fortnite OG mode may launch alongside Chapter Six

Epic Games has been reported to be considering the possibility of having Fortnite OG as a separate mode from the game’s upcoming Chapter Six, which is expected to be released on December 1, 2024. This mode will only have the base loot and weapons and will still be available in both normal and Zero-build modes.

Epic Games has already tried it once with the Fortnite OG event that took place last year, which brought back some of the Chapter One locations and items. This event was incredibly popular and even caught Epic Games off guard, prompting the company to state that they would like to bring the mode back in some capacity. Epic hinted of this in its official Twitter handle where they noted that the event “far exceeded our expectations.”

If the latest reports are to be believed, an official reveal could happen at the end of Chapter two Remix on 30th November or at The Game Awards on 12th December. The timing fits with previous teases from Epic.

Chapter Six to feature Assassin’s Creed content

Although Chapter One has recently returned, leaks suggest that there will be new content with the start of Chapter Six in Fortnite. As stated by HYPEX and ShiinaBR, the first season of the sixth Chapter is rumored to be related to Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Due to the fact that Fortnite OG and Chapter Six may be released at the same time, Epic Games is preparing for both the return of the veterans and the newcomers. The second chapter of the event, Chapter Two Remix, will be concluded with a live event on November 30 with Juice WRLD. Even as the leaks and rumors come in, the fans are waiting for the official statement from Epic Games on what promises to be a thrilling finale to the year 2024 for Fortnite fans.

It was also rumored earlier this week that new game modes in the upcoming Fortnite are to be released. One of these modes which has been codenamed as ‘Figment’ was said to be an “OG-related game mode” which gives some weight to the recent leak.
