Outline of Jupiter's Second Airdrop Key Information: When will it go live? What are the eligibility criteria?
The snapshot has been taken, and JUP staking and voting activities may not be included in the airdrop.

Background
Earlier last week, we reorganized the Jupiter second airdrop (Jupuary#2) clues in the article "Jupiter Second Airdrop on the Way? Revisiting Existing Clues." The key points of the full text are as follows:
1. Including the first airdrop in January of this year, Jupiter is expected to conduct a total of four airdrops, with each airdrop likely to occur in January each year;
2. Jupiter still has reserved 21 billion JUP for the subsequent three rounds of airdrops (already accounted for in the burn data);
3. Jupiter's founder, meow, has stated that the airdrop will be community-driven and mentioned that the criteria for the next airdrop will be "quite different" from the first airdrop;
4. Several institutions have proposed their own specific airdrop plans on the Jupiter Governance Forum, with some plans receiving some community support.
One week later, more new clues have emerged regarding the Jupiter second airdrop, especially as meow himself has been chatting feverishly on Discord in recent days, revealing some new insights on core issues such as "snapshot time," "airdrop time," and "reference criteria."
Snapshot Time
First, the most concerning issue is the snapshot time. Although Jupiter has not yet made an official announcement on its social media, meow has explicitly stated that the "(airdrop reference) criterion is before November 2nd."
In response to a user's further inquiry about whether all old users are eligible to receive the second round airdrop, meow gave a clear reply that it is "users since last November"—note the use of the term "users" here, as elaborated later in the text.
Therefore, it is quite clear that the reference period for the Jupiter second airdrop will be from November 2nd last year to November 2nd this year.
Airdrop Launch Time
Regarding the airdrop timing, some users have inquired, "How many days are left for voting to open? Will the airdrop query go live on December 1st?" Meow provided the answer "Expected to open on November 25th," but did not specify which question it corresponded to.
Due to Meow later explicitly stating in X: "...if JUP falls into the wrong hands, it will be very heartbreaking for us, in the next 2 weeks, we will fiercely debate the meaning of 'correct'..."
It can be inferred that the November 25th opening date provided by Meow should be the airdrop's voting launch time, at which point the community will vote to decide which specific airdrop proposal to implement.
After the vote is completed, Jupiter will then launch the airdrop query page. Considering the time needed for voting, this page may not be released until December at the earliest.
Airdrop Criteria: Debate on Staking and Voting
In the recent two days of discussion, the biggest controversy has been around the airdrop criteria issue, specifically whether JUP holders' staking and voting behavior should be considered.
Meow has provided a clear negative answer to this: "Staking and voting behavior will not be included in the airdrop criteria."
Considering that the voters of the Jupiter proposal are JUP staking users, Meow's statement will inevitably face opposition pressure from JUP holders, but Meow's logic is that the airdrop primarily targets narrow users who have used the Jupiter product, and staking behavior is unrelated to the airdrop (this behavior will be rewarded through the ASR module), but stakers can also obtain the airdrop by engaging with Jupiter."
Regarding the specific airdrop criteria for user behavior, Meow did not mention many details (expected to be known after the voting opens), but clearly emphasized the exclusion of bot addresses to ensure the fairness of the airdrop.
Other Element: Unlocking Restriction
In addition to the above key points, another highly anticipated aspect is the locking restriction of airdropped tokens.
Meow himself has mentioned that "it is expected that the airdrop will have a 1-year lockup restriction".
However, Meow has also mentioned the possibility of immediately claiming the tokens, stating that "users can choose to lock up or immediately take away 40%"—though Meow also mentioned that this standard is not yet fully confirmed.
Team Attitude: Distributing Airdrops to the Right Hands
This morning, Meow himself, after concluding a community discussion, once again posted on X to express his thoughts on the second-round airdrop.
"As we are about to start what may be one of the most controversial votes in Jupiter's history, I want everyone to know some important things. JUP is a valuable strategic reserve, the result of my lifelong efforts, and the culmination of our team's efforts. We will never treat it carelessly—seeing JUP fall into the wrong hands would be very heartbreaking for us. In the next two weeks, we will fiercely debate the meaning of 'correct'—whatever the result, I hope everyone believes that I will always consider the long-term interests of JUP."
As one of the most successful projects in the Solana ecosystem to date, Jupiter received considerable praise when designing the first airdrop, and JUP also showed a good trend after the airdrop. With the second round of airdrop approaching, we have reason to believe that Jupiter will once again provide a satisfactory answer to the majority of users.
