The First Lady of Brazil angrily rebukes Elon Musk, who responds: They will lose the next election

According to U.S. media reports, during a crucial G20 summit presided over by Brazilian President Lula, Brazil's First Lady Rosangela Silva said "screw you, Elon Musk" at an event, targeting the billionaire owner of social media platform "X". She also discussed the necessity of regulating social networks and combating fake news.

Even before Brazil's Supreme Court banned "X" from operating in Brazil earlier this year, tensions had been brewing between Lula's camp and the world's richest man. Last year, after Rosangela’s account was hacked into, she threatened to sue the social media company accusing Musk of failing to respond adequately.

Musk later responded on “X” to a video where Rosangela berated him saying “they will lose the next election.” The next presidential election in Brazil will be held in 2026. Leftist Lula narrowly defeated former president Bolsonaro - dubbed as 'Brazilian Trump' - in 2022.
