Bitget Copy Trading Updates: Customizable leverage and margin mode

Thank you for supporting Bitget futures copy trading! In our ongoing efforts to enhance copiers' experience, we are introducing the ability to customize leverage and margin mode starting March 22, 2024. With this update, you’ll have access to more customization options to improve your copy trading experience.

I. Customizable leverage and margin mode in copy trades

We provide flexible leverage and margin mode settings that align with your copy trading strategy and risk appetite.

1. Leverage settings for copy trades

Customizable leverage is a key focus of our copy trading upgrade as we strive to provide a flexible copy trading experience. You can choose from the following three leverage modes based on your needs and copy trading strategies.

A. Follow elite traders (only available under Smart copy)

In this mode, your leverage will automatically align with that of the elite trader's leverage. Any adjustment made by the elite trader will be updated automatically in your leverage.

B.Fixed leverage (available for both Smart copy and Diverse follow)

You can maintain a fixed leverage for both Diverse Follow and Smart Copy. In this mode, your leverage remains the same regardless of the adjustments made by the elite trader.

C. Trading pair-specific leverage (available for both Smart copy and Diverse follow, Bitget website only)

This is the most advanced mode where you can customize a specific leverage for each trading pair. It is available for both Smart Copy and Diverse Follow, but you can only use this mode on the Bitget website. This mode offers you the flexibility to adjust your leverage based on the specifics of each trading pair and your trading strategies.

This feature allows you to choose the best leverage based on your own appetite and trading strategies, enabling you to enjoy a more personalized and optimized copy trading experience.

2. Margin mode settings

Under Smart Copy, you can select from Isolated margin, Cross margin, or Follow elite trader's settings. Under Diverse Follow, you can select from Isolated margin or Cross margin.

3. How to customize

You can customize your copy trading leverage and margin mode in the copy trade setting as shown below.

II. Margin call in isolated margin mode

This update will enable you to manually increase or reduce the margin for your isolated positions. In Smart Copy, when the elite trader increases or reduces the margin, your margin will also change proportionally.

You can manually increase or reduce the margin for your positions in My Trades > Smart Copy / Diverse Follow > Orders.

III. Reminder for copiers when elite traders transfer funds under Smart Copy mode

In Smart Copy mode, when an elite trader transfers funds into their futures account, copiers who are copying the elite trader and have open copy trades will receive a reminder. Copiers can adjust their copy trading investment accordingly.
