World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) project backed by President-elect Donald Trump, has partnered with Ethena Labs (ENA), a synthetic dollar protocol founded by Arthur Hayes. This strategic collaboration aims to integrate Ethena's sUSDe token into WLFI's Aave-based system, increasing stablecoin liquidity and utilization rates on the protocol ¹ ². As part of this partnership, WLFI has submitted a governance proposal to add sUSDe as a core collateral asset on its upcoming Aave instance. If approved, this will enable WLFI users to benefit from sUSDe rewards and WLFI token rewards. The Ethena Foundation is also willing to co-incentivize the supply of sUSDe through its points program, making WLFI users eligible for additional Ethena Rewards on top of sUSDe APY ². This partnership is a significant development for both parties, as it brings together the expertise of Ethena Labs in synthetic dollar protocols and WLFI's goal of spreading stablecoins pegged to the US dollar. The integration of sUSDe into WLFI's ecosystem is expected to increase liquidity and utilization rates, making it a compelling value proposition for users ³. In addition to this partnership, WLFI has also been actively building its portfolio, with recent investments in Ethena and Ondo, as well as substantial holdings in ETH, AAVE, LINK, and cbBTC. WLFI's portfolio now totals $83 million, with ETH representing the largest share at $57 million ³.
